アイルランドのフラッグカラーの一つ
グリーンがイメージカラー
この日、
グリーンのものを身につけてお祝いをします。

もはや世界的なイベント
日本でもパレードが行われたりもしますね〜

ウィリアム王子は
アイリッシュガーズの連隊長というお立場で出席

ロイヤルウェディングの際
ウィリアム王子が着ていらしたのも、
アイリッシュガーズ連隊長の（別の）ユニフォームでした。

連隊長の妻
キャサリン妃にとっても、
この行事は恒例

ご結婚後2016年を除いて
全年出席されている。

そして
代々ロイヤルメンバーのご婦人によるお役目

アイリッシュガーズ（アイルランド近衛連隊）へ

シャムロックを授与

連隊のアイコンでありマスコット犬

アイリッシュ・ウルフハウンドのドーナルも
もちろん健在

今回で５度目らしいが、
トップを歩く重要な役目に向け
前週予行演習されるのだそう。

そんな犬にとってもきっとキツい？と思うけれど
この日、英国はまたも激寒

ロンドンで、朝0度だったとか
この場所も、−3度だったとか、、、
雪もちらついてた。

そんな中、妊婦のキャサリン妃が心配〜〜
と思いつつ観ていた。
もはやファッションも
防寒具ってな感じで。

一応何時もの通り
ファッション〜〜！

もちろん、コート
そしてやっぱりグリーン！！！
期待に応えます、キャサリンさん。

着回しだけど
即どれだか気づかなかった。。。

ボケ始めてるのと
アレンジがお上手！のせい

今年1月末の
スウェーデン訪問時のコート＋ファー小物使い

お出かけスタイルは
アマンダさんの手によって
一気にロイヤル行事スタイルへと変わった。

寒いのに
ブーツにせずパンプスとは、
ウィリアム王子は寒さで
顔が真っ赤になり、寒そうだったけど
キャサリン妃は平然

ロイヤルは結構キツい、実は。

なったことないですが、、、今世ではw

Wolfhound Domhnall - the regiment's longest serving mascot since 1985

Domhnall's handler, Drummer Aidan Cathcart, jokingly expressed reservations that his charge would behave.
He said:
"Domhnall's role is very monumental - he is the first guy on the parade. He is the main guy on the march, it's a pretty important day for him
Asked if he was confident Domhnall would perform as planned, he replied, bluntly: "No."

The wolfhound - the regiment's longest serving mascot since 1985 - had been doing test runs all week to prepare for his moment in front of the royals.
It is the fifth time he has received the shamrock and the second time he has been handled by Drummer Cathcart

The Duke, as Colonel of the regiment, took the salute

Prince William is colonel of the regiment, which he was made in May 2011; it was his first honorary position in the army. Her Majesty the Queen is Colonel in Chief of the regiment. As you all remember, the Prince opted to wear the Irish Guards tunic for the royal wedding

met soldiers and their families. Finally, the Duke and Duchess visited the Guardsmen's Lunch where the longest-serving guardsman in the battalion proposed a toast to the royals

'The longest-serving guardsman of the battalion, Stephen Williams declared a toast to the Duke and Duchess for a second year in a row at the mess hall and thanked the Duchess for the shamrocks.

The 30-year-old revealed the Royal couple 'felt sorry' for him and his colleagues out in the elements.

He said: 'I thought it went well, I was very proud to do it on behalf on the battalion. They said they recognised me from last year which is a good thing. I've been here for 10 years so the most senior person does it every year. It's the first time we've had snow on the parade, usually it's a warm day - what was it, -3C outside?
'They said they felt the cold and felt sorry for us.'

the tradition inaugurated by Queen Alexandra, wife of King Edward VII, in 1901 when a decree stated:

'Her Majesty the Queen is pleased to order that in future, upon St. Patrick's Day, all ranks of her Irish regiments shall wear, as a distinction, a sprig of shamrock in their head dress to commemorate the gallantry of her Irish soldiers during the recent battles in South Africa.'

The tradition has become synonymous with a number of royals since, most notably the Queen Mother, who had a long affiliation and love for the Irish Guards after attending the annual military parade for the first time in 1927. It wasn't until 1964 she started to present the Royal Shamrock to the Battalion, describing it as a "great pleasure which has enabled me to forge a link with the regiment I greatly cherish". The regiment supplied the pallbearers for her funeral in 2002.

キャサリン妃を追い
私も参加、、、ってな気分で
東京での
St Patorick's Day イベントに行ってみた。

思ったより
参加者少ない気がしたり
日本人率高かったけど
面白かった。

珍しく
コスプレ気分で頑張ってみた。
予想より、
コスプレが少なかったからか
なんだか、目立ってたっぽい、、、

しかし、いつもながら
朝家出てしまうと
自分の姿は自分では見えず、、、
ついどんな格好をしてるのか忘れるw

ゆえに、
ずっとこの格好で歩いてて
カフェでテーブルについて
やっと、ハッとした、、（笑）

でも、やっぱり
ファッションは楽しい❤️

イベントを楽しむのに、
人がどう見るかとか関係ない。
（お仕事は別です）

一緒に行ったワンちゃんも
お手製のプリンセスコスプレ〜〜
私よりよっぽど
ロイヤルだったわ

ママが、愛犬にばかり焦点を合わせるので
一緒に撮った写真の私が
ボケまくりでウケましたw

もお〜〜〜！！ですよ。
そんな中、奇跡の写真もあったからいいけど。
